Light Azazel: An Easier White Snek. Floor 8

Eighth Floor of Light Azazel

Back to the normal no BS dungeons. This dungeon is the first appearance of Deightros (the fusion of both fishies from Gungho 200 turn flr15 Colo Stream) which basically has the skillset of both fish together.

He’s just extra super annoying if you proc resolve… haha…

A lot of the heavier spawns are dragons so I heavily recommend bringing Tsubaki if your team can fit it. Leads like Cthuga can do this.

Eighth Level with Link

Floor 1

Piggy

14M HP

99% premptive gravity.

He’s the same piggy as always so not much else to do here besides to what you always do from 3P UDR / A3 / 3P Arena.

Don’t forget that sub 50% HP he puts up a shield then 100% gravs the following turn. Under 50% he’s light attribute so one light resist is all you need to tank this, if you don’t plan to just one shot him.

Floor 2

Mythical Beasts

3M HP

The exact same things that we’ve seen all the time in Arenas and other dungeons. I don’t feel like there’s enough to say about them besides some quick notes.

Unicorn can force you to stall 3 turns but only does 20k per turn.

Kraken is premptive all green bind.

Griffon is premptive 99%.

Floor 3

Random RGB Shis x3

4.5M HP

Shis will premptively absorb their own attribute for 2 turns.

The red one can make bombs (makes 4), the blue one binds and the green one can leader swap.

It’s a very good idea to just go through this floor ASAP. At least the leader swap is only 1 turn if you do get hit.

Floor 4

Diagoldos OR Defoud

~14M / 17M HP Respectively

Another set that you’ve definitely seen before. Diagoldos probably significantly less. He can hit up to 35k (does this every second turn) which is enough to end the very glass cannon leads like Anubis x Anubis (without the badge).

If you hit below 50% he basically gives you 2 free turns then kills you.

Defoud is a 7 turn timer (will kill you the hit after his combo shield drops to 92).

Floor 5

Kuramitsuha

19M HP

Not as waifu as her sister (I mean seriously who cares about her besides evolving Hinomitsuha).

Premptive 2-3 turn skill delay + 20% jammer skyfall for 15 turns. Also first turns a 50% shield for 10 turns which basically gives her 40M HP if you don’t one shot her.

When 30% or less she will cast an 800k absorb so… as you can tell this is a floor that’s best to one shot.

Floor 6

Orb Dragon

28M HP

The red and wood ones both have 7 combo shields preemptively while the blue one blinds the board and makes jammers. Since all 3 are kinda random in what they do the easiest way to deal with all 3 of them is to just plan for a bicolor or tricolor board change here. Otherwise just delay turn one and avoid the follow up 75% shield on the red one, 7c shield on blue one and absorb on green one. The delay allows you to unblind / match jammers on the blue one and just setup a board against the other two while waiting.

Hitting any of them to sub 20% results in a damage free turn (red does full board lock, blue does 5 turn awakening bind, green does -50% time for 5 turns) before nuking.

Floor 7

Lifive

24M HP

Kill. Just Kill. Make sure you can tank 33.5k before getting here because that’s his prempt.

Floor 8
Deightros

Starts off with 75% shield for 3 turns (similar to Deighk).

Follows the same attack patterns and shield swaps. 75% shield then wood AND dark absorbs.

It’s worth noting the way the game checks shields because once you factor in delays it becomes kind of important.

He goes through 4 attacks and skips one based on what shield is active.

75% Shield > First Hit > Second Hit > Wood / Dark Absorb and repeat

For example, because his premptive 75% shield is (obviously) active for his first turn so it skips the 75% shield cast and moves to first hit, second hit, absorb. When he casts wood absorb he moves to 75% shield but since shield is up it goes first hit, second hit, checks wood absorb and since it’s up goes to 75% shield.

Now, when you delay it remembers where you were in the cycle. Since a lot of people are probably going to be delaying right off the bat, this means that the shield will wear off before he does his 75% shield check and, since it’s off, he will shield 75% first.

Now… Since he has almost 9M DEF and 40M HP you need to be ready to do damage, at least 16M per card while his 75% shield is down. So a delay or a non wood/dark team would be pretty efficient. Without delay you still need to tank both his hits, and it just makes it easier when you don’t need to worry about follow up attack.

Conclusion

Effective leads for this dungeon don’t actually need to meet that many requirements.

Dark Athena brings 2 delays on the leads already which covers you for floor 6 and 8. With enough stalling (it’s a relatively long dungeon) you should be able to get a gemstone / wisedragon spike up for Deightros. However killing some of those floors without a spike will be challenging, such as Floor 1. Oda Nobunaga can make a decent sub for the earlier floors with his inherent devil killer that helps on a portion of the dungeon. The downside is that dark doesn’t have great dragon killer options like Tsubaki. Corona Haku is arguably the best since Zuoh doesn’t make a usable board with his active.

In general you’re looking for a team that can deal ~20M damage consistently, or about 4M per card on the team. This can be pretty challenging if you don’t have access to good combo based cards like Sakuya, Kush, Anubis to pair with Diablos or Yog x Yog.

Some alternative high damage leads that I see working well would be Ameno (be careful on HP with regards to Lifive prempt), Ilm x Diablos (leader Ilm with Dragon killer. Tsubaki sub. Consider some devil killer latents if you have spares and are having difficulty), RKali, etc. Maybe even…
