Light Azazel: An Easier White Snek. Last Floor

Final Floor of Light Azazel

This floor is pretty tame besides having one of the most annoying spawns in the game (Azazel himself) as the finale to the dungeon. This dungeon is arguably 100x easier than White Snek but is of course dependent on your box rather than just raw skill.

Final Level with Link

Floor 1

Keepos

40M HP, 7c Shield

Remember floor 3 of White Snek? This is a floor by itself here in Light Azazel.

Hopefully you don’t need much guidance here besides kill or be killed.

Floor 2

Verche

20M HP – 50% resistance to dark

Premptive 10 turn dark bind. If you do not have any darks on your team, he will 3 turn skill delay.

If you hit him to sub 70%, he casts a 1M damage absorb. So the play here should really be to kill ASAP since he also hits up to 46k.

Floor 3

Creuse

65M HP – 50% dark and blue resistance.

Premptively casino orbs the bottom left and top right orbs.

Hits 50k per turn. Gives you a “free turn” on the 4th turn so he can buff himself before starting to hit 125k per turn. Have fun.

As usual, this is really a “kill or be killed” spawn.

Floor 4

Azazel

200M HP – 50% resolve – 50% resistance to dark

Premptively roll locks the top for 6 turns.

On the first turn he will either cast a 15M damage absorb and hit 39k (REALLY BAD!) or skill delays by 7 and hit just under 42k. Because of this you’ll see a lot of people using swipe setups here to follow up attack + swipe and kill.

The turns are as follows and repeats 1 then 2 OR 3:

  1. 31k and locks light / heal / (mortal) poisons
  2. 14k + 7 mortal poisons
  3. 34k and makes the pattern below:

If you’re running 7×6 the bottom row copies the 5th row that you see here. Orbs are randomized and not guaranteed that pattern (it goes by row).

If you ever hit him below 50% HP he will heal himself back to full and cast a 50% damage shield, 2x damage buff and deal 56k.

Basically an awful situation.

If you hit him below 15% he will do a 280k nuke.

If you hit the resolve (without the follow up attack) he does his sub 50% hit so goes back to full and then nukes. The next time he does this he only nukes.

This can be abused by using a shield like Thanatos or Raphael to one shot him from full HP without having to worry about follow up attack.

NOTE:

I am told that Azazel ONLY does his sub 50% attack if you hit him to under 50% on the first turn and REPLACES the skill delay / damage absorb. If you do not hit him below 50% on the first turn he will not do his heal ever as far as I can tell (but does the damage absorb).

Conclusion

Annoying dungeon is annoying.

Everything is basically forcing one shots.

If you’re using combo based leads, I recommend you use a Ganesha active instead of follow up attack since follow up attack forces a 5 orb combo leaving only 25 orbs left on a 6×5 board. Luckily with Diablos being in the game you can Diablos x Combo lead (Cthuga / Anubis are both good) and have you pick of either FUA or Ganesha for a 1hko. The 7×6 board pairing will also allow you to ignore the casino orbs on the top right and bottom left of the board which would make it a bit more annoying on a 6×5 to max combo.

Good cards to use for this would be Fenrir Viz with god killer (could even latent too to make floor 2 and 4 lot easier, he also has a 3 turn cooldown making him a great base for a Thanatos / other shield) or Cloud / NY Amaterasu / Superman / others for devil killer (floor 3 and 4 are both evil killer).

Yog makes this dungeon quite the joke. Not everyone has Yog though.

Anubis x Diablos is good and your leaders are bind immune darks to bait Verch. You’d just have to run non-dark subs (Viz / Devil Killer / Aten for killers) and then Gunma. Using Diao Chans basically means GG with Verche unless you bring a 10 turn unbind (full unbind).

Follow up attack remains one of the best ways to deal with this guy. Mel active or other heart makers like BMyr remain a far lower CD than Thanatos / Raph so it’s generally an easier to FUA. I highly recommend bringing killers for this dungeon especially if you choose to use Cthuga because you can’t really afford to take hits (you’ll lose your multiplier).

You have Follow Up Attack swipe options like Oichi or Yog. Ochi has a very efficient one with just Dios + Mel and having a Mito on the team for the double devil killer.

You can also use double Revo Venus and cheese through as long as you can kill the Keepo and Creuse.
